Downtown Orlando Chiropractor Dr. Yen Nguyen

"Simply put, chiropractic care changed my life!"

Orlando chiropractor Dr. Yen NguyenI suffered with headaches up until I was a senior in high school.  I met a chiropractor who told me that the cause of my headaches was in my neck. He explained that a nerve was pinched due to a bone being out of alignment. This chiropractor gently adjusted my neck, and my headaches were gone! I was then able to better focus on my studies, and never had to take pain medication again. So...you guessed it, I became a chiropractor - to help people who are suffering needlessly - without drugs or surgery.

A Chiropractic Education

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University & Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA. Chiropractic education was fascinating! (like dissecting cadavers and learning every vein in their bodies).  I learned that our body has the innate ability to heal itself, from a cut to cancer. This innate ability is expressed through our nervous system. Chiropractic is the art and science of reducing nervous system interference. I also learned that health is not merely the absence of symptoms, it's the optimal physical and mental well-being of a person.  Taking care of yourself requires healthy habits through proper nutrition, rest, exercise, positive mental attitude, and regular chiropractic care.

My Philosophy

Our practice philosophy is "health comes from within". Our objective is to educate people about our philosophy and to help as many people as possible who are suffering needlessly. We educate parents on the need for raising healthy children naturally.  We take care of many pregnant women and children, because we believe chiropractic care and healthy lifestyles start in infancy.  If you would like to learn more about chiropractic and children, and pregnancy, you can visit the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association website at http://icpa4kids.org.

On a Personal Note...

My family and I aim to live healthy everyday. I do everything I ask my patients to do: eat healthy, nutritious food, take whole food supplements, exercise, rest, have a positive mental attitude, and receive regular chiropractic care.

Dr. Yen Asks some important questions of interest to Downtown Orlando residents - Chiropractor Downtown Orlando Dr. Yen Asks...

What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
How do most people deal with vertebral subluxations?
First, they try to ignore them. When they don't, they go to the medicine cabinet to stop their brain from feeling the symptom. Later, back surgery may be threatened. Sadly, it's not until this later stage that they consult our Downtown Orlando chiropractic office. Yet, even with the delay, most are delighted by the results produced by today's chiropractic care. Contact us and let's get started.
